Book two was hard to push though. I get wanting to dive into the supporting characters and back story but when the support becomes too overwhelming and takes away from the main characters it doesn't work. I'm happy for Charlie and Bo, Althea and Scar but I need Lucia and Erin.How are you going to have 25 chapters and have them reunite at chapter 24? I know there's a book three but this still didn't cut it. I'm still waiting on you to show me why Lucia is feared, why she's so respected, why she is Queen you've yet to show her been just that sure she had a few moments in this book but not enough. This book lost sight of the main goal and gave view of the supporting characters you even had Althea doing more that Lucia which is nonsense.And after all that built up of the Mistress it's just that whamp whamp end? I seriously hope book three brings into focus everything show us why Lucia is Queen I want to see her rule with Erin alongside her and I hope Ximen live to see the mess he created and grovel at their feet I begin with saying I was really into this book in the beginning. Leaving on such a cliffhanger and picking up where the last volume left off, it was one hell of a ride, but by half way through the book the thirst for revenge gets quenched by doing other things in your real life. As much as this book tries to be thorough, and I greatly appreciate that, it slowed the wheels to this rollercoaster to a halt without reaching the end of the ride. Then around the 77 percentile of the story things start to take off again, by this time, I just want this to be over, and the ending... ... ... What the hell... this is the type of ending i like to call a total "boner killer." Yes, that is correct, this book should win the Boner Killer award for the crappy ending, the big bad enemy crumpled like nobody's business. Then of course, there is ANOTHER cliffhanger for the third installment, thanks but no thanks.
